image at different times and use software to \u201cstitch\u201d the data back together.<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Not all the data is captured at the same time<\/li>\n<li>Variations in document speed or feed inconsistencies can result in misaligned scan data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a different<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The patented Singlesensor technology uses up to 50,400 individual image sensors in a straight line across the width of the scanner.<\/p>\n<p><a and clear scans.<\/p>\n<p>Traditional CIS scanners use a single LED light with a light guide to illuminate the entire scan surface.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clearview is different<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ClearView uses up to 144 LED lights across the entire width of the scan surface.<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean?<\/p>\n<p>You always get bright and even light.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Each side of the sensor is lit up.<\/li>\n<li>All sensors are lit equally, across the entire width of the surface.<\/li>\n<li>You get a clearer, even scan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>SureDrive<\/h2>\n<p><a against the scanner glass, directly opposite the sensor.<\/p>\n<p>Traditional CIS scanners work with staggered sensors. With this configuration each CIS sensor has an individual roller to position the document next to the scan glass. As the document moves between the individual rollers it can sag.<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The rollers provide uneven pressure as they are not aligned across the full width of the document.<\/li>\n<li>The pressure is reduced as lightweight documents free wheel through the scanner.<\/li>\n<li>CIS has a short focal length, so with low and uneven pressure the resultant scan image will be out of focus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>SureDrive is different<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SureDrive uses a single roller to provide even pressure across the full width of the document.<\/p>\n<p>What does this mean?<\/p>\n<p>You always have consistent high pressure directly opposite the scanning sensor.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A single full width roller provides even pressure across the full width of the document.<\/li>\n<li>The roller has a motor drive to pull lightweight documents through the scanner.
