PLEASE READ THIS

This guide assumes a basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and requires the use of the keyboard (to type in filenames) and use of the mouse (for making various program selections).  Wherever possible the program labeling has been carefully chosen to try and make the system easier to use for the operator or user who may be new to scanning.  The purpose of scanning of course is to make a digital file version of the original.  For this reason in SmartLF All-in-One we have renamed this process ‘File’.  Similarly for an original containing dimensionally very small information that demands a higher setting for the SmartLF optical system we have implemented a control called Image detail.  Small, detailed information on an original can be successfully retrieved or 'filed' by using the Image detail control set to 'Fine'.

Perhaps the most important point to remember about SmartLF All-in-One software is that it works as a batch program.  This means that after the first Copy or File has been made SmartLF All-in-One will display the animated ‘more paper’ icon.  Loading further documents into the SmartLF scanner will cause the program to continue with the last process i.e. more copying or more filing.

The information described in this guide is subject to change without prior notice and considerable effort has been made to ensure that this guide is free of inaccuracies and omissions. At Colortrac we are constantly improving our products and software and there may be some differences between what you see in this help system and the product or software you are using.  We will always try to maintain the accuracy of this guide relative to the software it describes.  Please contact your Colortrac distributor for clarification if you are concerned.

Finally where you see the film roll symbol you will find a video or screen recording explanation.   You can stop these at any point by pressing the BACKSPACE command or using the displayed controls.
