Place the target face down in the scanner with its
right-hand side in line with the white arrow on the scanner
scanning platen.
It is very important for the target to be DRY at this point and for the scanner to be recently white NORMALISED. NOTE: Use the Cx and Gx Utilities programs to perform regular maintenance on your SmartLF scanner.

Scanning the Printed Target
At the computer
Press the Scan Target button.
This will move the printed Printer target through the scanner. It
should appear in the white window (right) in a reasonably centred
position and square to the horizontal.
If you need to rescan the target to correct a skew, reload the target and press the Scan Target button
again.

Locating the Printed Target
If the target looks like the picture below press Next to continue.
Click
the movie reel to see the alignment operation in action. Use the
zoom button to place the angle braces onto the corners of the target

Checking for the new printer profile in the front screen
After printer profiling the new profile will appear in the front screen of CopySmart. Media Name - the name supplied for the profile at the start of the profiling process Resolution - the specified printer resolution Quality - the chosen print quality level
