Black & White copy

In the SCANNER INPUT section of the CopySmart interface

1. Original Dimensions click the down arrow      (click here to see how)

Choose Landscape, Portrait or Auto Size (Auto Size is slower and its accuracy can depend on the quality and edges of the original being scanned. TIP: To turn off the Autosize function press the Reset button.
Alternatively the approximate size of the area to be copied (if known) can be typed directly into the Width and Length boxes using the computer keyboard.  All width measurements are normally taken from the end of the scanner nearest the panel.

2. Image Presets - click Monochrome

Choose Drawing for a CAD original and then select either Black and White or Advanced black and White for originals with a poor foreground to background contrast. (click here to see how)


In the PRINTER OUTPUT section of the CopySmart interface


3. Copy Dimensions - check that the copy has the same dimensions as the original (click here to see where)

4. Check that the correct output is selected (click here to see where)


In the COPY and  PREVIEW section of the CopySmart interface (optional step)

5. Click Preview to preview the black and white drawing (click here to see how to Preview then Copy)

6. Click COPY button on the software or press the COPY button on the scanner to copy without preview



Users can also operate CopySmart from the panel of the SmartLF scanner using the membrane buttons.
NOTE: These buttons need to be configured by setting the Event equal to 'No action' in the Windows Control Panel otherwise Windows will attempt to start other related applications.  Press [Panel] Copy to Start the copying process.  Pressing [Panel] Copy during copying (the COPY button is red) will STOP the copy process.




Colour copy
