Give CopySmart the size of the original or use auto size and then press the big blue button – that’s it!

The scanner will start to scan and soon after the printer will begin the copy.  No need to worry about paper size settings at the printer, files or enlargement percentages - with CopySmart it’s straightforward.


The printers
CopySmart is designed to work mostly with roll-fed printers and copies the original (enlarged or reduced as required) to the chosen printer with the minimum of paper wastage.   For LED printers that use a server (RIP) the high-speed CopySmart ‘hot folder tiff driver’ can be used.  All drivers are included and can be selected at any time

What are the main functions?
CopySmart copies in color, greyscale and bitonal (for blueprints).  It can multi-copy, crop, enlarge, reduce and enhance copy quality (when necessary).  Other features include; text and logo insertion, step & repeat (for multiple copy across roll) CMYK colour output adjustment and colour replacement.


Previewing
Preview can be used to crop out unwanted scan detail before a copy without needing to scan a second time.  Simply press the Copy button to process any image in the Preview window.  Pressing copy from the Copy tab processes the copy based on the input size set.


Working with scan files
CopySmart allows common raster formats to be loaded, previewed, cropped and printed using the same simple ‘copy’ controls.

CopySmart can import most files in common usage in the graphics industry today.


ICC Profiling
CopySmart uses Windows colour profiling techniques to generate profiles to describe the colour space that the scanner works in and the colour space that the printer can achieve.  All data produced by the scanner is then 'connected' to the relevant printer through the LAB based Profile Connection Space (PCS).  CopySmart uses CMYK nd RGB printer ICC profiles.

Typical usage
CopySmart is a single printer application supporting multiple printer configurations.  Users for example can pre-configure two printers, one with draft paper for black and white check copies and perhaps a second with photo glossy paper for high quality work.  The user can then switch between printers inside CopySmart as required.
