PC System Requirements

Colortrac minimum PC specification for SmartLF Ci, Cx and Gx+ scanners

  • Colortrac software is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 operating systems
  • Colortrac SmartWorks EZ software will only operate in Touch Mode with Windows 7 and a compatible touch screen. For optimal operator comfort with higher resolution touch monitors operators may prefer to reduce the screen operating resolution slightly or run with a larger screen font size
  • Microsoft .NET may need to be installed or updated on older operating systems when installing the Colortrac bundled software
  • Intel Core-Duo, Core-2-Duo or 2.8GHz Hyper-Threading (HT) or AMD Dual-Core processors
  • 1GB RAM for XP and 32-bit Windows 7, 2GB RAM for 64-bit Windows 7, 3GB RAM for Vista 32-bit or 64-bit
  • High speed 7,200rpm Serial ATA (SATA) HDD with minimum 1GB for applications and 20GB free for images
  • USB2 compatible or Gigabit Ethernet data ports with Gigabit Ethernet switch directly connected (NOTE: 10/100 speed switches will not work)

Colortrac recommended PC specification for SmartLF Ci, Cx and Gx+ scanners

  • Colortrac recommend a computer specification that exceeds the processor speed, RAM and architecture of the minimum specification

USB and Ethernet scanner drivers

  • All Colortrac scanner Ethernet and USB2 drivers are compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit computer processor architectures

Scanner application software

  • All Colortrac scanner software is 32-bit based but compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit Windows operating systems. On a 64-bit operating system 32-bit emulation mode is used. Emulation mode may not take direct advantage of the 64-bit architecture and benefit scanner operation.

Note

  • Colortrac SmartLF 4080 is not compatible with 64-bit operating systems and is not tested for Windows 7. Colortrac SmartLF Gx and Colortrac SmartLF 4080 scanners connect via USB2 only.
