Colortrac SmartLF scanner sales grow by 44% in the year ended April 30, 2007

Sales of Colortrac wide format scanners have been doubling every two years since 2002 and the results for the latest fiscal year continue that positive trend. SmartLF large format scanner shipments increased by 44% compared to the previous year and are 101% higher than the year ended April 30, 2005. We are also very pleased to report record group revenues of c. US$11 million with a healthy 23% Net Profit Before Tax (NPBT) of US$2.5 million (before Audit). Revenues increased by 18% and NPBT by 100% year-on-year.

Colortrac Managing Director Graham Tinn says,

Our aim is to offer a full range of wide format scanners, tailored to meet specific user requirements, that are competitively priced and offer our customers excellent performance and value for money. Colortrac continues to invest in the future, hiring additional staff and developing exciting new products with which we can expand the market for our SmartLF wide format scanning and copying applications. The growth in Colortrac wide format scanner shipments demonstrates increased market share achieved by highly competitive products, expansion of distribution channels and sales territories and the development of new markets for wide format scanning and copying for customers who previously could not justify the investment required."

Colortrac was incorporated in December 1989 and began trading when it launched the world's first affordable color large format scanner in March 1994. Since those early days, the color wide format scanner market has grown radically from a small volume niche within the monochrome A0 scanner segment, to become dominant. Almost all large format scanners sold now offer high quality and high speed color and monochrome image capture for graphic arts, reprographics and scanning bureau, architects, engineers, mechanical CAD, oil and gas, utilities, mapping and cartography (GIS), local and national government agencies and any other enterprise that owns or services large format documents.
