One of the reasons for Colortrac's 2009 success was a growth in sales in the Middle East, including troubled areas like Iran and Iraq. In Iraq Al-Badri Information Technology (AITC) has been an effective sales partner. At the Baghdad Fair in November 2009, AITC showed Colortrac scanners working with Canon printers. According to Bara'a Baghdadi, "Colortrac products captured the attention of visitors to the exhibition. The result was that we sold two Colortrac SmartLF scanners direct at the Fair."
