Do Colortrac wide format scanners save PDF/A-1?

The PDF/A-1 specification seeks to control and exclude the types of data which would make PDF files less suitable for long-term preservation and more dependant on external systems and software. Data such as links, embedded audio or video, fonts or JavaScript are not consistent with this format. Colortrac PDF scan files are internally pure raster and already meet the PDF/A-1 specification because they do not contain the excluded data types. Colortrac may decide to rename our PDF to PDF (PDF/A-1) to make it more apparent that Colortrac PDFs are suitable for long-term preservation and of genuine archive quality.
